Who's your favorite book character of all time?

answers1:Artemis Fowl from Artemis Fowl (duh) and Sirius Black from
Harry Potter. I haven't been able to find books with good female
characters....they're all either bitchy or floormats.
answers2:My favorite book character has to be Lestat from Anne Rice's
The Vampire Lestat.A vampire rockstar, what could be better?
answers3:Sydney Carton from A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickens-
he's a tramp throughout the whole book, but he's hilarious, and in the
end he makes the greatest sacrifice for love. It gets me every time.
answers4:Albus Percival Wulfric Brian Dumbledore,or Luna Lovegood =D
answers5:Jacob Black from Twilight. I love Edward, I do, but he had no
personality to me. Jacob was funny, knew what he wanted, and was
really sweet.
answers6:Edward from Twilight
answers7:Jacob Black from Twilight series.I'd do him in a quick sec :)
answers8:My favorite male character is a toss up between Hamlet and
Huck Finn. They both have interesting personalities and journeys.
Hamlet is such a fantastically angsty, strange character that you
can't help but love him. Huck has this incredible moral center. His
character is unique for his time in his strong friendship with Jim and
the lengths he goes to protect him.My favorite female character is a
toss up between Daisy from "How I Live Now" and Pollyanna. I love
Daisy for her sarcasm, her determination and the character's strong
voice. I love Pollyanna because, despite the fact that she can be
incredibly annoying, by the end of her speaking, you can't help but
kinda go along with her whole "sunshine and flowers" outlook on life.
PS: I have a soft spot for Claudia from the "Claudia" series,
too....Show more
answers9:My favorite female character is Elizabeth Bennett from Pride
and Prejudice. I think she's exactly what a female character should
be-- strong, independent, intelligent, quick-witted, and able to stand
on her own two feet without a man holding her up. In other words,
she's the exact opposite of Bella Swan (a character I loathe). I've
got a soft spot for Hermione from Harry Potter, too. She reminds me of
myself. ;)My favorite male character is either Severus Snape from
Harry Potter or Huck from Huckleberry Finn. Snape is just such a great
character-- JKR developed him so well and his story is amazing. His
character has a lot of depth. I love Huck because he's so funny, and
it's fun reading from the perspective of a child. Children see the
world differently than adults do, so looking through Huck's eyes is
great. I've got a soft spot for Mr Darcy from Pride and Prejudice,
too... :)....Show more
answers10:I like John Proctor from The Crucible (BECAUSE IT IS MY
NAAAAAAAAAAAME! BECAUSE I CANNOT HAVE ANOTHER IN MY LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIFE!
BECAUSE I LIE AND SIGN MYSELF TO LIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIES! [how can you
not love John Proctor he's so full of hilarity]), Dumbledore from
Harry Potter (duh.), Alice from Twilight (although I pretend not to
like that book as much as i actually do), um.... and Okonkwo from
Things Fall Apart (because he beats his wife and grows his yams. *dies
laughing*)...Show more
answers11:Scarlett O'Hara from Gone With the Wind.I named my daughter
Scarlett, after her!
answers12:Ged from The Wizard of Earthsea.
answers13:Bilbo Baggins Sherlock Holmes James Bond Winnie the Pooh
answers14:hmmm......i cant just pick one....i have so
many.........edward from twilight......hermione from harry
potter......sabriel and lirael from the abhorsen trilogy......cadvan
from the books of pellinor.........sam linnfer from waywalkers and
timekeepers........etc etc etc
answers15:bella in the twilight series. shes just so kind, and
considerate, and i know im gonna get loads of thumbs down for this,
but i do not care! elizabeth bennet. she is such a cool gal! maximum
(dont like the name, but whatev) from maximum ride. you go gal!
answers16:robert langdondan brown's books seriesdavinci book,angels
and demons....
answers17:The Little Prince is so charming!I love Morgaine from the
King Arthur stories - she's so strong and she's brilliant
answers18:This is a qood question - i would have to say Elizabeth
Bennett (P&P) and Hermione(HP) for right now . Elizabeth since she
stands up for her self and decides for her own life. Same with
Hermione she loves to stand up and speak when needed.
answers19:Hmm tough choice. It's a tie between Artemis Fowl from the
Artemis Fowl Series by Eoin Colfer, since you know, he's a boy genius
and everything and his internal conflict over being the good guy or
the bad guy is just so intriguing to watch over the course of the
series. I mean, he starts off as the anti-hero in the first book.
How can that not be loved. Then in the most recent book, when he has
to deceive one of his best friends, he fights with himself over it
continually and finally cracks under pressure to reveal the truth. Then
there's Ethan from Companions of the Night by Vivian Vande Velde. In
my opinion Ethan is a MUCH better and cooler vampire than Edward. He
acts exactly like an ancient (I guess) undead guy should.
Manipulative to his own ends, and yet somewhat caring for Kerry. Oh,
and I like Kerry too--she's not a helpless character, she makes
choices. And one of those choices is she DOESN'T want to be turned
into a vampire because she cares about taking care of her father and
her little brother too much. Something she can only do as a
human....Show more
answers20:Sara Crewe in A Little Princess :)I also love Gilbert Blythe
from Anne of Green Gables.
answers21:Oh, by all means Hatter Madigan from The Looking Glass Wars
Series. In the book, which is based off of Alice In Wonderland, only
now it is more than you have ever read from Carrol's side of th story
and much, much more awesome, Hatter Madigan (based off the Mad Hatter)
is a top-hatted, high-ranked millinery man who is the trusted
bodyguard of young Alyss. As the sort of alter-ego of the Mad Hatter,
Hatter is completely emotionless and extremely bad *** (hate to sound
like a fan girl, but it's true). He is equipped with cuffs that enable
blades to retract with the flick of a wrist, a backpack with
propeller-like razor blades that pop from inside, and a top hat that
flattens into c-blades that boomerang through enemies which he tosses
much like a Frisbee. Though he seems a stone-cold battalion tyrant,
Hatter has a place in his seemingly-missing heart for his unknown
lover (won't spoil) and has a sweet tooth for Tarty-Tarts that I find
absolutely adorable. And also, there are some memorable situations he
gets into that have made a deep imprint in my mind from mind-blowing,
awesome stuff to some settings that are completely hilarious. So,
though I love every character in The Looking Glass Wars, Hatter
Madigan is undoubtedly my absolute favorite out of the whole book and
every other I've read. ...Show more
