If i buy an HD TV, I would have to switch tivos too. I already have a Tivo lifetime pass.?

How big of a screen are you talking about? On a 26" it would probably look OK, with a 55" screen, eh, not so good. Vernon Martorana: You do not have to buy a new Tivo. The Tivo Series2 (non-HD) will work fine with an HDTV. You will only be able to record analog TV stations though (1-70). You will not be able to record digital cable stations, including HD stations.If you want to record digital cable stations and HD stations, then you need to buy the Tivo Series3 HD DVR.
