Chances are your insurance didnt cover the whole thing and! when they said "we can cover that" they probably only meant a portion of it. Im not sure where you live but try a healthcare clinic for dentistry (I go to Jordon Valley and they are so great). The best thing you can do is try to work it out with the insurance company since these people will not budge. If insurance cant help you then I reccomend asking the billing people to set you up for a low intrest income based bill each month. Meaning you pay what you can afford untill its paid off. They might not let you and you may have to take out a loan to cover the damage. I understand the pain of going through a school and not getting the right results, unfortunatly this is the risk you take be it dental, medical, or even just cosmotology school. Next time go to a profession place like Jordon Valley HealthCare center. A good place would be one with lots of dentists and nurses because overworked staff is less likely to give you the attention you need....answers 2:It is against the! law for them to strong arm you to collect a debt, if there re! ally is a debt anyway. You should have paperwork from the procedures they performed and those papers should tell you what the bill was and what was covered by the insurance company. If you don't have them, ask the dental school to provide you written evidence of the debt. You should also contact your insurance company and get their side of the story. It sounds like you probably do not owe them a penny, but you might also want to gather up the information related to the additional problems you claim you have experienced as a result of their shoddy work. You may also want to contact a lawyer to help you through this....
